Multiple (maximum of 2) low voltage 60 ft (18 m) extension cords can be used to achieve a total lead length of 120 ft. Any more than this could result in a voltage drop off affecting trap performance.
To protect the cord from lawn mowers etc, we recommend placing it underground (2-3 inches) in a slit trench. Do this by inserting a spade into the ground and moving it backwards and forwards to create a shallow slit that the cord can be pushed into. Replace the dirt and stand on to compact.
